Harare, 04 February 2025 – The People’s Own Saving Bank (POSB) is pleased to announce the opening of a new sub-service centre at Boka Tobacco Auction Floors, aimed at providing enhanced convenience and accessibility to its valued customers. This new facility is part of the Bank’s ongoing commitment to expanding its reach and improving service delivery across the country.
The Boka sub-service centre, located on the 13km peg along Harare-Masvingo Road, will offer a comprehensive range of banking services, including cash withdrawals, deposits, money transfer agents (MTAs), loan applications, and other essential banking services available at main service centres.
“We are excited to bring banking services to the doorstep of our customers around the Boka Tobacco Auction Floors. Our goal is to enhance banking services’ accessibility and convenience for tobacco farmers, traders, and customers from the surrounding areas,” said POSB in a statement.
Boka Tobacco Auction Floors handles a significant portion of Zimbabwe’s tobacco crop. By establishing a presence at this key location, POSB aims to offer tailored financial solutions to tobacco farmers, helping them manage their finances more efficiently and securely.
Farmers and traders will now have the convenience of accessing banking services without having to travel long distances. This development is expected to save time and reduce the logistical challenges associated with banking, especially during the peak tobacco selling season.
The new sub-service centre will be open from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Customers are encouraged to visit the centre and experience the high-quality service that POSB is known for. “As usual, we also strongly encourage our customers to utilize our digital banking platforms, including mobile banking services ‘On the Go App’, CellBank, WhatsApp Banking, and Internet Banking. These services are available anytime and from anywhere, providing unparalleled convenience and accessibility,” added POSB.
